The Historic Huckleberry Trail

It is part of a 60-mile paved and natural surface trail network that connects the Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Virginia Tech communities with the National Forest. The Huckleberry Trail follows portions of the old rail alignment that served the Virginia Anthracite Coal and Rail Company in 1902. Between 1905 and 1958, passenger service ran between Christiansburg and Blacksburg.
